A 13-year NFL veteran, Jones played defensive end for three different teams in his career: the Los Angeles Raiders (1984-87), the Houston Oilers (1988-93) and the Packers (1994-96). He earned Pro Bowl honors in 1993, and his 113 career sacks place him eighth among the NFL's all-time leaders. He played in 210 regular-season games and missed only three games during his entire career. He retired in March 1997 after the Packers defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI. A 1983 graduate of Northeastern University, Jones was a four-year letterman in football (1980-83) and lettered for the school's lacrosse team as a freshman and senior.
