MEN
In his final regular-season game Darin Archbold, Butler's 6'5" senior guard, made seven straight three-point shots and scored a career-high 42 points in a 96-86 defeat of Xavier ( Ohio).

WOMEN
Tonya Baucom, a 6-foot junior forward for Southwest Missouri State, scored 18 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Lady Bears to a 73-61 victory over Eastern Illinois.

SMALL SCHOOLS
Bat Barber, a 5'9" guard for Hampden-Sydney, had 28 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in an 88-83 double-OT win over Centre College in a second-round game of the NCAA Division III tournament.
