DEFENSE
Freshman Jason Parker, a free safety at Tennessee, intercepted two passes, recovered two fumbles and made eight individual tackles to help the Volunteers to a 34-13 victory over Kentucky.
SMALL COLLEGES
Jimmie Rose, a junior wideout at Baker University in Baldwin, Kans., had 14 receptions for 138 yards and one touchdown as the Wildcats beat Northwestern Iowa 21-20 in an NAIA playoff game.
