How could you ignore the U.S. women's softball team, which was undefeated and won the gold medal, continuing the Americans' domination of this sport?

You sold Ken Rosewall short in your list of athletes who duplicated an outstanding accomplishment after a long spell (SCORECARD, April 3). Better examples of Rosewall's longevity than his appearance in the 1956 and 1970 Wimbledon finals were his victories at the Australian championships in 1955 and '71 and at the French championships in 1953 and '68. You also could have selected the U.S. championships, which he won in 1956 and again in '70.
