Ohio State running back Eddie George rushed for a school-record 314 yards on 36 carries and scored three TDs in a 41-3 win over Illinois. The victory was only the second for the Buckeyes in their last eight games against the Illini.

Clemson safety Brian Dawkins had three interceptions in the first quarter and finished with nine tackles in a 34-17 victory over Duke. Clemson's fourth consecutive victory sealed a bowl invitation for the Tigers.
