The treacherous 12th (right) was double trouble when the Shark hit his tee shot into Rae's Creek.

Norman couldn't beat the heat that came after Nick Faldo hit the shot of the week—a two-iron to the 13th green (right).

Norman came to the 11th tee (right), the start of Amen Corner, leading by one, but fell into a tie after a crushing three-putt.

Any comeback hopes Norman had were washed away at the par-3 16th, where he hooked his ball into the water.

The stage was set for a tribute, but for Norman the long walk up 18 was more like a funeral march.
