Finnegan, 31, a mother of three and a senior on the Northwood University tennis team, won her second straight Great Lakes Athletic conference title by beating Ann Simons, a Michigan Tech sophomore, 6-1, 6-0. Over the last two years Finnegan, whose husband, Rob, is Northwood's tennis coach, is 41-3.

MIDLAND, MICH.
Finnegan, 31, a mother of three and a senior on the Northwood University tennis team, won her second straight Great Lakes Athletic conference title by beating Ann Simons, a Michigan Tech sophomore, 6-1, 6-0. Over the last two years Finnegan, whose husband, Rob, is Northwood's tennis coach, is 41-3.

Steve Toll
ST. CATHARINES, ONT.
Toll, a junior right wing on the Rochester Institute of Technology hockey team, led the Tigers to four consecutive wins with three goals in each of the first three games and five goals in the fourth. The only other collegian to score four straight hat tricks is believed to be John Carter of RPI in 1984-85.

Amy Skieresz
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF.
Skieresz, a sophomore at Arizona, won the NCAA women's cross-country title by running her 5-km Tucson home course in 17:04 to finish 16 seconds ahead of Providence senior Marie McMahon. In her 12 races in two years as a Wildcat, Skieresz has 11 wins and one second, at the 1995 NCAA finals.

Anthony Saunders
GREENSBORO. N.C.
Anthony, a senior running back at Western Guilford High, ended his high school career as the state's alltime leader in rushing yardage (7,782) and TDs (103) after gaining 87 yards in a 28-17 loss to South Columbus High. His rushing yardage is the seventh best ever for a high schooler.

Debbie Keller
NAPERVILLE, ILL.
Keller, a senior forward and co-captain on the North Carolina soccer team, had the goal in a 1-0 double-overtime win over Notre Dame that gave the Tar Heels their 14th NCAA title in 16 years. As the leading scorer for 25-1 North Carolina this season, she had 51 points on 18 goals and 15 assists.

Rob Hunt
ARVADA, COLO.
Rob, a senior on the Arvada West High golf team, won the Jefferson County League title by 14 shots. His cumulative 359, one under par, in the five 18-hole tournaments that counted toward the crown included a course-and state-high-school-record 62 at the 6,908-yard, par-72 Foothills course in Lakewood.
