Nikki, a 6'1" senior guard for St. John's at Prospect Hall high school, averaged 27.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 4.4 steals to lead the Vikings to a 28-3 record. St. John's was 17-0 in her junior season. Nikki, a two-time AAU All-America, has signed to play at North Carolina.
Janvrin, 31, the co-coach of track and field at Central Missouri State, won his eighth Drake Relays decathlon title. He shares first place with five-time Olympic medalist Gwen Torrence on the Drake victory list. Last year he placed fourth at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
Jenny, 15, became one of the youngest female bowlers to roll a 700 series when she had a 266-229-227, for a total of 722, in the Trek Heads League at the Guttormsen Recreation Center. Jenny, whose previous high series was 630 and high game 247, has a 190 average.
Moran, 38, an amateur steeplechase jockey, won her second Maryland Hunt Cup in three years. Riding Buck Jakes, she covered the four-mile course in the fourth-fastest time ever in the 101-year-old race, the most challenging held in the U.S. In 1995 she and Buck Jakes set the course record.
Marie, a senior softball pitcher for Hinsdale South High, broke the state career strikeout record of 1,056 with 10 whiffs against Mount Assisi High. Through last Friday, she had lifted her total to 1,161. Marie, who will play at Michigan next year, holds the state single-season strikeout mark (395).

Jackson, 46, the wrestling coach at Arkansas City High, guided the Bulldogs to their 10th state championship in 10 years and their 11th during his 18 years as coach. Under Jackson, Arkansas City has amassed a dual-meet record of 174-12 and has earned 55 individual state titles.
