Wheels Come Off for FedEx Men

Three recent FedEx winners are missing in transit. Defending champ Greg Norman is on the shelf, rehabbing after shoulder surgery. Jim Gallagher Jr., who looked as if he had the whole package while winning here in 1995, has plummeted to 120th on the money list. Dicky Pride, the '94 victor, has been bouncing around the PGA and Nike tours, missing 13 cuts in 16 PGA Tour starts and earning only $18,428 this year. If any former FedEx king can rebound at Southwind, Nick Price is the man. The '93 champ, still smarting from a third-round 82 that canceled his hopes at the British Open, flies to the FedEx determined to deliver on Sunday.
