Wideouts Florida

In the 100 games that Steve Spurrier has coached since returning to Gainesville in 1990, his wideouts have caught 250 touchdown passes, a startling average of 2.5 per game, far better than any other school's in the country.

Names of Note: Ernie Mills (1987-90), Willie Jackson (1991-93), Harrison Houston (1990-93), Aubrey Hill (1991-94), Jack Jackson (1992-94), Chris Doering (1993-95), Reidel Anthony (1994-96), Ike Hilliard (1994-96), Jacquez Green (1995-97)

Quarterbacks Washington State

Combine a pro-style passing game with a coach, Mike Price, who loves to teach it and free-spirited quarterbacks, and you get an explosive offense. You also get two quarterbacks taken among the first two picks in the NFL draft over the past decade, a legacy unmatched by any other program over that span.

Names of Note: Timm Rosenbach (1986-88), Drew Bledsoe (1990-92), Ryan Leaf (1995-97)

Tailbacks Ohio State

The Buckeyes have had a 1,000-yard rusher in five of the last eight years, including Eddie George, who hit a grand twice, in 1994 and '95, and won the Heisman in '95. The reason for all this fancy footwork at Ohio State: good offensive lines and even better recruiting.

Names of Note: Robert Smith (1990-92), Raymont Harris (1990-93), Butler By'not'e (1990-93), Eddie George (1992-95), Pepe Pearson (1994-97)

Fullbacks Notre Dame
