Evan, a junior goalie at Trinity High, allowed only five goals and had 21 shutouts in 26 games to lead the undefeated Shamrocks to the state title and a No. 3 national ranking. His brother, Loren, a senior forward, scored a team-high 45 of Trinity's 127 goals.

Anderson, a junior at UNLV, won the Savane College All-America Classic and set the tournament record for the lowest final round, with an eight-under-par 63 at El Paso Country Club. He finished the two-day, 54-hole event with a 12-under 201, which tied the tournament mark.

Jon, a senior quarterback at Wheaton Warrenville South High, established a national high school record for TD passes in a season (60). He led the Tigers to the state Class 6A crown with a 42-14 win over Barrington High, setting title-game marks for completions (29) and passing yards (490).

Basketball
Kenner, 57, coach at Corning Community College for 29 years, got his 500th win in an 80-70 defeat of the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Since joining the Mid-State Athletic Conference six years ago, his Red Barons have had a league regular-season winning percentage of .861.

Track and Field, Swimming
Claggett, 65, won gold medals in the running long jump, standing long jump, discus, 100-meter breaststroke and 200 backstroke in the women's 65-69 age group at the Maryland Senior Olympics. She also earned two silvers and two bronzes.

Volleyball
Stegemann, a junior outside hitter for Pacific, was named first-team All-America after missing last season because of a torn left anterior cruciate ligament. She had 486 kills and 313 digs, both team highs, as the Tigers went 23-9 this season.
