"Boxing's cesspool opens to emit an unconscionable odor," said TVKO's Jim Lampley after the Holyfield-Lewis farce last Saturday. Contrast that to CBS college basketball announcer Kevin Harlan, who earlier that evening said that a Weber State player with two alcohol-related convictions this season had had an "interesting" year. If Lampley were calling the NCAA tournament, he might have said, "The kid's a punk, but he can shoot the rock, so he's playing."
