Boring? The Senior tour? The geezers got just what they needed at the Toshiba Senior Classic, in which, between yuks, a TV wag in granny glasses and a Don Ho shirt made a do-or-die eagle putt, missed a kick-in to win (must've been the bikini wax), then beat the big hitter who had wasted his youth on wine, women and song. The Sunday stumbles of Eric Booker (77), Bradley Hughes (80) and Tommy Tolles (77) at the Honda Classic, which Vijay Singh won by two shots, guaranteed that the Tour would not have a first-time winner in the first 10 weeks of the season. The last time that happened was 1994....

Players are calling this week's Bay Hill Invitational the IMG Open. Of the 18 players awarded exemptions to the event, which is run by IMG, 11 are represented by the management company.

Juli Inkster, who won the Welch's/Circle K by a stroke over Dottie Pepper, replaced her three-iron with a seven-wood before the tournament and used the new club to eagle the 13th hole on Sunday....

Karrie Webb's tie for eighth, four shots behind Inkster, was her worst result this season.
