Water Polo
Schumacher, 25, scored 10 goals in leading the U.S. to the gold medal at the Pan Am Games and a spot in the 2000 Olympics. A swimming gold medalist in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 freestyle relays at the Atlanta Games, he will attempt to qualify for the Sydney Olympics in both sports.

Aaron Jackson, Fort Worth
Gymnastics
Jackson, a recent graduate of Trinity High, won the all-around at the national high school gymnastics championships in Lincoln, Neb., with a record 57.075 points. The winner of the all-around and four apparatuses at the Texas high school championships, he now attends the Air Force Academy.

Bryan Erstad Jamestown, N.Dak.
Baseball
Erstad, 18, went 14 for 16 with five homers to lead the Jamestown Eagles to victory in a regional American Legion tournament. A letterman in football, hockey, baseball and track at Jamestown High, Bryan, the brother of Anaheim Angels first baseman Darin Erstad, will attend Wichita State on a baseball scholarship.

Richard Jennings, Evanston, Ill
Sailing
Jennings, 54, skippered the 68-foot Santa Cruz 70 sloop Pied Piper to victory in the Chicago Yacht Club's annual Race to Mackinac Island. Jennings has competed in the race 38 times, and the victory was his third; in 1987 he set an elapsed-time record of 25:50:44 aboard Pied Piper.

Kim Jones, Greensboro, N.C.
Track and Field
Jones, a recent graduate of Grimsley High, won the long jump and the 100-meter hurdles at the Foot Locker National Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A four-time state titlist in the long jump, she leaped a meet record 20' 3�" at the national competition. She will be a freshman at Florida State this fall.

Missy Gregg, Kettering, Ohio
Soccer
Gregg, a recent graduate of Alter High, where she set the Ohio girls' record for goals in a career (180), won the Rae Burick Award as the top female student-athlete in the Dayton area who also performs community service. She will attend Dayton on a soccer scholarship.
