April 17, 2000
The first masters of the new millennium gave us an old story. For the ninth time in 13 years an international player won, this time holding off the cream of the U.S. Ryder Cup team. The weekend weather brought wintry winds and temperatures to Augusta, but in Fiji, 7,481 miles away, everything was coming up roses.
