Notah Begay's win at the FedEx St. Jude Classic and Tiger Woods's W the week before at Pebble Beach were the first back-to-back victories by minorities since Victor Regalado and Trevino won the Pleasant Valley Classic and the PGA, respectively, in 1975....

Only Woods has more wins (nine) than Begay (three) in the last 10 months...

Other than Houston, Memphis had the weakest field of the year with only one of the top 10 money winners, Stewart Cink, present, and he finished 33rd.

Juli Inkster, who beat Stefania Croce of Italy on the second playoff hole at the McDonald's LPGA Championship in Wilmington, Del., has won six majors overall, and three of the last five....

Pat Bradley, Betsy King and Patty Sheehan are the only active players with as many majors as Inkster....
