Emily Sallee, MUNCIE, IND.
Volleyball
Sallee, a senior setter at Ball State, became the MidAmerican Conference's women's career assists leader with 5,827 after dishing out 74 in a loss to Northern Illinois. Sallee, the reigning league player of the year, passed the mark of 5,794 established by Jessica Stout of Miami.

Tracie Tiensvold, INDEPENDENCE, MO.
Softball
Tracie, a senior at Truman High, pitched 35 scoreless innings for the Patriots in a complete-game 1-0 win over Blue Springs High in the state Class 4A tournament. The game tied a 17-year-old national record for the longest in high school competition. Tracie allowed five hits and whiffed 42.

Christine Buckley, WALPOLE, MASS.
Field Hockey
Christine, a senior goalie at Walpole High, set a national high school record for career shutouts with her 62nd in a 3-0 win over Milton High. She has helped the Rebels, who were 18-0 this season through Sunday, to two consecutive Division I state championships.

Jay Martin, COLUMBUS, OHIO
Soccer
Martin, 51, the coach at Ohio Wesleyan, reached 400 career wins faster than any other college soccer coach, when his Battling Bishops defeated the College of Wooster 7-1. Martin, who is in his 24th season, has guided Ohio Wesleyan to a berth in 21 of the last 22 Division III tournaments.

Brittany Dietz, OSBORNE, KANS.
Tennis
Brittany, a senior at Osborne High, capped an undefeated (149-0) high school career by winning a fourth straight Class 3-2-1A girls' title, beating Mallory Schwan of the Wichita Collegiate School 6-0, 6-2 in the final. As a freshman she set a state high school single-season record with 43 wins.
