Ron Kirk, MOCKSVILLE, N.C.
Wrestling
Kirk, 46, the coach at North Davie Middle School, guided the Wildcats to an undefeated season, their 12th regular-season Mid-South Middle School Conference title and their 11th league tournament crown. Kirk has a record of 265-35 in his 21 seasons at North Davie.

Jenni Anderson, CHESTERTON, IND.
Swimming
Jenni, a senior at Chesterton High who will attend Auburn on an athletic scholarship, established an Indiana girls' high school record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.24 at the state high school meet. She's a three-time state champ in both the 100 back and the 50 freestyle.

Jennifer Botterill, WINNIPEG
Hockey
Botterill, a junior forward at Harvard, was named MVP of the women's Beanpot—a four-school tournament—after scoring the winning goal in the finale against Northeastern. As of Sunday, Botterill and Brooke Whitney of Northeastern led the nation with seven game-winners this year.

Len Herring, HAWTHORNE, FLA.
Track and Field
Herring, a senior at Wisconsin, won the triple and long jumps at the Big Ten Indoor Championships and led the Badgers to the conference title for the second straight year. Herring, a two-time Big Ten champ in both events, is Wisconsin's record holder in the long jump.

Jess Figueroa, EAST ISLIP, N.Y.
Bowling
Jess, a junior at East Islip High, led the Lady Redmen to a win over Middle Country when she bowled an 822 three-game series, the second best total ever by a junior female in New York. She also helped East Islip win the Suffolk County title for the third year in a row.
