Brunton's Nomad Digital Compass ($69.95) has three navigation modes (compass, forward and reverse) that can store route headings and warn you when you have deviated from your bearing. If you stray from your intended route, the Nomad will point you back in the right direction using a magnetic sensor that is accurate to within one degree.
