Akeya Terrell, GAHANNA, OHIO

Terrell, a sophomore at Ohio Wesleyan, was named most outstanding defender in the Division III women's tournament for anchoring a defense that allowed one goal in the team's five tournament games and for helping lead the Battling Bishops to their first national championship in the sport.

Linda Delk, GREELEY, COLO.
Volleyball
Delk, 53, the women's coach for 26 seasons at Northern Colorado, guided the Bears to a 3-0 win over North Dakota for her 700th victory. Second among active Division II women's volleyball coaches in wins and a six-time conference coach of the year, she has taken the Bears to 18 divisional tournaments.

Jonathan Igbinovia, RALEIGH
Tennis
Igbinovia, a sophomore at Georgia Perimeter College, a two-year school in Dunwoody, beat Radovan Chrz, a sophomore at Division II University of West Florida, 6-4, 6-3 to win the small college championship. Last spring he led the Jaguars to a fourth straight national junior college team title.

Micki Rupon, STEWARTSVILLE, N.J.
Field Hockey
Micki, a junior forward at the Pingry School, had a hand in three game-winning goals this fall for the Big Blue, which extended its undefeated streak to 48. Micki, who finished with 13 goals and 11 assists, set up the game-winner that beat Shore Regional High for Pingry's second Group 1 state title in a row.

Dallas Mall, NORTHBOROUGH, MASS.
Football
Mall, a freshman wide receiver at Bentley College in Waltham, broke the NCAA freshman record for touchdown catches, previously held by Randy Moss, when he got his 20th in a 40-37 defeat of Long Island University- C.W. Post. For the year he had 1,313 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.

Jason Pagan, ORLANDO
Powerlifting
Pagan, 22, bench-pressed 457.5 pounds to set a World Natural Powerlifting Federation record in the 181-pound class of the open raw division. Pagan, who holds five U.S. junior marks, also won his weight class's junior title and was named the WNPF's powerlifter of the year in his age category.
