McFadyen, a junior point guard at Memphis, had a triple double in a 91-56 victory over Charlotte without attempting a shot. Her 12 assists, 10 rebounds and 10 steals for the Lady Tigers was the fifth women's triple double in Conference USA history.

Justin Maiser, EDINA, MINN.
Hockey
Maiser, a freshman at Boston University, was named MVP of the Beanpot tournament after scoring the deciding goal in the title game against Northeastern with 1:12 remaining in regulation. The 5-3 victory gave the Terriers their 24th championship in the Beanpot's 50 years.

Danielle Carruthers, PADUCAH, KY.
Track and Field
Carruthers, a junior All-America at Indiana, set a course record, of 7.92 seconds, in the 60-meter hurdles for the second consecutive year at the Penn State Collegiate Challenge Cup. Her time was the fastest in the nation and tied for fourth best in the world this year by a woman.

Eddie Weichers, COLORADO SPRINGS
Boxing
Weichers, 51, coach at the Air Force Academy, was honored for his 25 years at the school. His fighters have won 15 National Collegiate Boxing Association team titles in the last 20 years, including the last three. He has also trained 198 All-America boxers and 79 national champions.

Stefanie Page, THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS
Golf
Stefanie, 14, was named the Texas Junior tour player of the year in the girls' 13-15 age group this season after leading the tour by 240 points, with a total of 1,115, and a stroke average of 77.1. Of the six tournaments she participated in this season, she won five.

Robert Hall, MERIDIANVILLE, ALA.
Billiards
Hall, 32, defeated James Henson, 45, of Alexandria, Va., 11-6 in the finals to win the U.S. amateur pool crown. The tide match comprised 13 games of nine ball and four games of eight ball. Hall, who beat a field of 662 other entrants, hadn't finished higher than ninth in five earlier appearances in this event.
