Another astute move by Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello: With University of North Dakota center Zach Parise inexplicably sliding in last weekend's draft, New Jersey traded up to get him with the 17th pick. Expect Parise, whose father, J.P., played 14 NHL seasons, to blossom into a star.
