Red Sox centerfielder Damian Jackson came up empty on this single off the bat of Tigers centerfielder Andres Torres at Fenway Park last Thursday. Jackson was shaken up on the play but stayed in the game, which Boston won 6-4.

Messalonskee catcher Chelsea Barker gets a face full of dirt as she steals home during her team's 9-0 win last Saturday against Bonny Eagle in the Amateur Softball Association 14-and-under B-division state softball tournament in Winslow, Maine. Messalonskee went on to beat Bangor 8-2 to take the state championship.
