For the second year in a row the Raiders got an apparent gem at tight end with a second-round pick. Last year it was Doug Jolley of BYU; this year it's 6'5", 255-pound Teyo Johnson of Stanford, who averaged 16.4 yards per catch in his first two preseason games. Johnson will play in two-tight-end formations....

The Vikings' Onterrio Smith, a fourth-round choice from Oregon, has been impressive running outside and using his 220-pound frame to smash for yards inside....

Niners wideout Arnaz Battle isn't playing like a sixth-round choice. On San Francisco's winning drive against the Raiders last Thursday, Battle, of Notre Dame, had a 15-yard catch and ran 16 yards on a reverse.
