If any doubts remained about the most deserving choice for MVP in MLS, 21-year-old Earthquakes forward Landon Donovan erased them with two goals in a 5-2 win over the Burn last Saturday. With five strikes in his last two games, Donovan was tied for third among MLS scorers with 12 goals at week's end. More important, he was the best player on the league's top team, a distinction that elevates him over Fire striker Ante Razov, Rapids forward John Spencer and Wizards playmaker Preki.
