Tabloid-style interviews with gold medalists ( Mary Lou Retton, Kerri Strug and Shannon Miller) and Athens hopefuls ( Carly Patterson and Courtney McCool) flesh out the story of coach Bela Karolyi—the guy who carried the injured Strug at the '96 Games—and his gymnastics dynasty.

MONDAY 9
BRONCOS VS. REDSKINS

The drought is over. The day after four players, including John Elway and Barry Sanders, are inducted into the Hall of Fame, the Skins and the Broncos meet in Canton, Ohio, for the preseason opener—and for coach Joe Gibbs's return to game action on the Washington sideline.

U.S. MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. TURKEY NATIONAL TEAM
