Shane, a 17-year-old senior at Bozeman High, won his second consecutive TAC national Junior Olympic shot put title for his age group, in Lincoln, Neb. His 65'�" throw was the best effort by a high-schooler in the nation this year.

Milton, a 33-year-old housewife, defeated Pauline Whitacre of Canton by seven strokes to win her second consecutive Akron District Women's Golf Association tournament. Milton shot a 14-over-par 233 for 54 holes.
Chris, 11, led Shelter Ltd. to a 17-0 record and the city Little League championship. Chris, whose dad was Catfish Hunter's catcher in high school, had a 6-0 pitching record and a 1.18 ERA with 72 strikeouts in 35? innings; he batted .707.
Horstman, 51, has led her Minster High girls' track team to a 57-1 dual-meet record. In 12 years, the Wildcats have won seven state championships and finished second four times. She was named NHSACA's 1986 coach of the year.
Rizzer, a 170-pound, 6'1" freshman at St. Francis (Pa.) College, was one of six volleyball players recently named to the Junior Olympic All-America team. In his three years on the North Allegheny High team, the Tigers were 31-1.
Ashley, a nine-year-old fourth-grader at Emerson Elementary, set an age-group world record in pogo-stick rope jumping with 2,578 consecutive jumps. It took her nearly 30 minutes to better the 1985 record of Casey Smith by 104 jumps.
