Dana, 11, hit .889 and pitched seven no-hitters in a row, to lead First Federal to a 20-0 record and the District III major fastpitch softball Little League title. She struck out 116 and gave up four hits in 45? innings.
Brad, 18, and Brent, 17, won state golf and tennis titles, respectively, on the same day to become the first singles champs from Keokuk in those sports. Brent, seeded No. 4, beat No. 2 Brian Launderville of Denison 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 for the Class 1-A state tennis title, in West Des Moines. Brad earned medalist honors in the Class 4-A state golf championship, in Iowa City, when he tied Waverly-Shell Rock's Todd Reinhardt at 149 for 36 holes at Finkbine Golf Club and won a three-hole playoff.
