Friedrich, a senior basketball forward at Evangel College in Springfield, Mo., broke the NAIA women's career total points record when she scored 33 in an 81-54 win over Mid-America Nazarene. She now has 2,746 career points.

WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO
Muzzatti, a freshman goaltender at Michigan State, established a Central Collegiate Hockey Association record by assisting on three goals in the Spartans' 8-5 win over Illinois-Chicago. He has won 17 of 27 starts this season.

JOBI GOLDBERG
CORAL SPRINGS, FLA.
Jobi, a University School third-grader, scored 35.5 points to beat 44 other gymnasts and win the Florida all-around title for seven- and eight-year-old girls. Jobi won the all-around title in six of the seven meets she entered this past year.

Marcus, a 16-year-old junior at Fryeburg Academy, is undefeated in two years of varsity cross-country skiing. He recently anchored the winning 16-17 age group men's distance relay at the Junior Olympics in Lake Placid.

SCAPPOOSE, ORE.
Palk, 23, an Air Force second lieutenant, squatted a world-record 314 pounds in the 97-pound division at the U.S. Powerlifting Federation women's championships. She broke Anna-Lisa Prinkala's 1984 mark by five pounds.

Grussendorf, 42, the girls' basketball coach at Esko High, guided the Eskomos to a 20-0 regular-season mark with three of his daughters in the starting lineup. Miranda, Angela and Brenda combined for an average of 36 points a game.
