OFFENSE
Oregon Tech quarterback Don Trotter, a junior, completed 27 of 40 passes for 532 yards and four TDs, and rushed for two more scores, as the Owls trounced Carroll (Mont.) College 70-35 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division II playoffs.

DEFENSE
Inside linebacker Jody Reinoehl of UNLV, a sophomore, was in on 16 tackles, forced a fumble and made a crucial interception as the Rebels held on to defeat Long Beach State 42-41 in the season finale for both teams.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Kent Elmore of Tennessee, a junior, punted twice, a school-record 81-yarder and a 55-yarder, both of which forced Vanderbilt to start from inside its nine-yard line, as the Volunteers defeated the Commodores 14-7.
