RHAIN BUTH WICHITA, KANS. Rhain, a senior-to-be at Southeast High, won his third straight Class 6A state singles tennis title with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Chris Caldwell from Blue Valley North High. Rhain, 25-0 this year, is undefeated in 78 matches over three seasons.

Rhain, a senior-to-be at Southeast High, won his third straight Class 6A state singles tennis title with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Chris Caldwell from Blue Valley North High. Rhain, 25-0 this year, is undefeated in 78 matches over three seasons.

ERIC O'BRIEN
DECATUR, GA.
Eric, 15, who will be a sophomore at the Westminster Schools, won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, in 4:22.95 and 9:34.32, respectively, at the Class 3A state track and field meet. Eric led the Wildcats to a second-place team finish.

MALTA, MONT.
Bubba, 5, broke his own state record when he caught a two-pound, 14�-ounce goldeye in an irrigation ditch. He had set his first goldeye mark six days earlier with a two-pound, 10-ounce fish that surpassed a record set in 1977.

GREG RAYA
BOCA RATON, FLA.
Raya, a 41-year-old store owner, won the open division of the Florida singles handball championship, defeating Andre Fortier of North Miami Beach 21-11, 21-3. Raya was also the defending state masters (40-and-over) champion.

Denise and Deanna, 18-year-old identical twins and recent graduates of Glen Burnie High, led the Gopher soft ball team to a 21-1 record and the Class 4A state championship. In the week before the playoffs began, Deanna went 6 for 12, scored five runs and threw out two runners from center-field. During the playoffs Denise, a third baseman, went 7 for 10 and had the game-winning RBI in the regional semifinal game. Glen Burnie defeated Oxon Hill 10-0 in the finals.
