Brad Holland, 11, of Huntington Beach, Calif. lost just one of 78 track and field events in three years in grade-level competition, winning 56 races from 75 yards to a mile and avenging his lone loss in the discus by setting a city record in the event.

David G. Johnson was second at the Cal-24 National Sailing Championships the past two years, but this time, with sons Bill and Gary among his crew, he piloted Ginger II to victory in the three-race event at the Cabrillo ( Calif.) Beach Yacht Club.

Nell Marmion, 14, of St. Clare's Girls' School, Staten Island, N.Y., pitched and batted her softball team to a 43-2 CYO win in which she hit three home runs—two of them grand slammers—a feat that prompted her to say, "I guess I had a good day."

Mark Bishop, the No. 1 singles tennis player for four years at Niles Township High School East, in Skokie, Ill., compiled a record of 90 wins and nine losses and this season was the winner of the district, the Suburban League and the Illinois State titles.

Howard (Cookie) Krongard, goalie for the New York Lacrosse Club, was named winner of the Outstanding Club Lacrosse Association Player award, an honor that last year went to his brother Buzzy, a midfielder for Mount Washington of Baltimore.

Fritz Wiedergott took time out from his skeet shooting, a sport in which he is a world champion, to coach varsity teams at Saint Mark's School in Southborough, Mass. to league championships in soccer, wrestling and lacrosse during the past year.
