Kevin Reynolds, 12, of Pleasant Hill, Calif., ran the third-fastest three-mile for his age group with a time of 17:19 over a difficult muddy surface at an All-Comers track meet in San Mateo, Calif. Reynolds has been competing for three years.

Otto Wendling, 69, of Longview, Wash., rolled his first 300 game in the Longview Timber Bowling League. The retired Lutheran pastor, who played on the Concordia Seminary baseball team in his youth, has been bowling since 1960 and now averages 175.

Debbie Mason, a 5'5" junior guard at Queens (N.Y.) College, became the alltime Eastern women's basketball scoring leader with a 24-point game against Montclair State. Her total now is 1,056, topping the 1,020 set in 1971 by Laurie Barth of St. Joseph's (Pa.).

George Braceland, 60, of Drexel Hill, Pa., swept his age group at Philadelphia's Masters Track meet, winning the 60-yard hurdles in 11.2, the 60-yard dash in 8.0, the 600 in 1:48 and the 1,000 in 3:23—plus the high jump (4'3") and pole vault (8'6").

Mike Engwall, a 6'3", 222-pound Fairfield ( Iowa) High School senior, holds a 26-0 heavyweight wrestling mark—including 22 pins and one forfeit—and has led the Trojans to four tournament team victories while winning six championships himself.

Merl Wolff, a freshman center for the Britton (S. Dak.) High School hockey team, led his school to back-to-back victories over Watertown and Huron, personally scoring all the Bruin goals in the 8-6 and 4-3 triumphs. He has tallied 37 goals in 13 games this season.
