Donna Nutt, a senior forward on the Fairview ( Tenn.) High girls basketball team, hit 50 points against White House High and boosted her scoring average to 36.3 for 17 games. A straight-A student, she has scored over 40 points six times this season.

John Banaszek, a sophomore on the Hancock ( St. Louis) High wrestling team, recorded 25 pins in posting a 28-0 record. Only three wrestlers in the 98-pound class were able to score against him as Banaszek gave up a total of just nine points all season.

Diane Cox, 19, of Salem, Ore., is the first woman to earn an expert racing license from the American Motorcycle Association. She achieved her rating in 4� months of competition and is eligible to compete on the AMA's pro dirt- and road-racing circuit.

George Clark, of Winnetka, Ill., captain of the Army hockey team, set West Point records for most goals in a game (seven) and career points (236) in a victory over Wesleyan. Continuing to up the mark, Clark now has 142 goals and 109 assists for 251 points.

Art A. Anderson, a Mansfield, Mass. tool-plant supervisor, won the 45th U.S. Men's Classic duckpin fall tournament at Baltimore with a world-record 15-game score of 2,429. In 30 years of competition he has won 25 open tournaments and taken 53 seconds.

Ernie Tardiff, a Mount Dora, Fla. golf instructor, became the youngest man known to shoot his age on a par-70 golf course when he fired a 62 at the Mount Dora Golf Club. The day before his 62nd birthday Tardiff had carded another 62 on the 18-hole course.
