A 5-year-old on the Eastgate Golden Gators soccer team. Rusty scored 20 of his team's 30 goals this season and, as the team's backup goalie, helped the Gators, who won an under-six division championship, rack up eight shutouts.

CLEVELAND LEWIS
WILLINGBORO, N.J.
A junior striker for Brandeis University, Lewis led his team to the NCAA Division III soccer championship. In a 3-2 semifinal victory, he scored two goals and an assist. In the finals against Brockport State, he scored both goals.

TRISH ERICKSON
OIL CITY, PA.
A senior on the Oil City High School girls' basketball team, Trish led her squad to a 14-0 record and a sectional championship as she averaged 24.7 points per game. In one game the 5'7" forward scored 48 points and hit 20 of 24 shots.

ERIC BOGGAN
MERRICK, N.Y.
Eric, 13, was a member of the New York table-tennis team that took the U.S. Open junior championship in Detroit and is the only player ever to win titles in the three U.S. Table Tennis Association divisions for boys under 15, 13 and 11.

EL PASO
An 18-year-old freshman at Tennessee Tech, Rod scored 1,177 out of a possible 1,200 in the U.S. Open Sectional Target Shooting Championship in Cookeville, Tenn. to break the U.S. collegiate (1,171) and U.S. junior (1,170) records.

BETTY NEWBY
CORNWELLS HEIGHTS, PA.
Betty, a sophomore at Bucks County Community College, co-captained her field-hockey team to a second consecutive National Junior College title and was MVP in the regional tournament. She has scored 51 goals in her two seasons.
