AN OPPOSING SCOUT'S VIEW

Trent Green is getting up there in age (35), but it doesn't matter. He's always been a quarterback who beats you more with smarts and accuracy than athleticism.... Priest Holmes is still going to be the workhorse, even though he's had some serious injuries in two of the last three years and appears to be declining. They'll probably spell him more now that Larry Johnson has proven himself.... I don't think the passing game will be as good as it has been. Samie Parker has great speed, but bringing in Freddie Mitchell doesn't really help them.... Two guys on the offensive line don't get as much recognition as they deserve--Casey Wiegmann and Brian Waters. Wiegmann is a great athlete who knows how to finish off blocks. Waters is the same way; when he locks on guys, it's over.... I like what Kendrell Bell brings to their defense. He's explosive and plays with a recklessness that motivates the guys around him. Derrick Johnson has a combination of size and speed that's hard to find in linebackers.... One guy who hasn't gotten a lot of attention is Carlos Hall, and that's because he played behind Jevon Kearse in Tennessee. He could be a tremendous third-down pass rusher.
