No matter how much you prepare for your fantasy draft, it's almost impossible to select the perfect team. But it's fun to imagine what your squad might look like if you had the luxury of picking nothing but top-tier players. Here is our dream team, plus some more-than-able backups.

QUARTERBACK
Peyton Manning, Colts
The 2004 NFL co-MVP (with Steve McNair) operates in a finely tuned offense and has thrown for more than 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in each of the last five seasons.
BACKUP:
Josh McCown, Cardinals
New coach Dennis Green loves this Sam Houston State product who threw for 1,018 yards in eight games last year.
RUNNING BACKS
Priest Holmes, Chiefs
He's flourished in Dick Vermeil's high-powered offense, rushing for 3,035 yards and scoring 51 TDs in the last two seasons.
Clinton Portis, Redskins
He won't have the Broncos' awesome line opening holes for him anymore, but because of his running style Portis (1,905 total yards, 14 TDs in 2003) has a chance to be the best back ever to play under Joe Gibbs.
BACKUPS:
Kevin Jones, Lions T
he rookie out of Virginia Tech should get the bulk of the carries in a dangerous young offense.
Tatum Bell, Broncos
He will have to battle for playing time, but the rookie from Oklahoma State gained 1,286 yards and scored 16 TDs as a senior last year.
