Clinton Portis dived over fullback Mike Sellers and a pile of linemen for a
one-yard, third-quarter touchdown against the Cardinals on Sunday in
Washington. It was the second TD for Portis, who rushed for 43 yards on 18
carries in a 21-19 Redskins victory.

A motocross biker
spun himself into a hole at the start of the 25th annual Weston Beach Race in
Weston-Super-Mare, England, on Sunday. A combined 1,700 bikers in nine classes
competed in the largest off-road motorcycle race in the U.K.
Max McGee
1932-2007
Working against
Chiefs cornerback Willie Mitchell (22), Packers wide receiver Max McGee made
one of his seven receptions in what later came to be known as Super Bowl I. Two
of his catches went for touchdowns in Green Bay's 35-10 win on Jan.�15,
1967, at Memorial Coliseum in L.A. McGee, who made SI's cover that week
(inset), died on Sunday when he fell while clearing leaves from his roof
(page�28).
