Teams are looking for bigger, more physical cornerbacks who match up with today's oversized receivers, and the 6'1", 195-pound Mathis began playing like a prototype big corner last season. The fourth-year pro may prove to be the best cover corner in the division, and he is also a dominant force in stopping the run. Last year Mathis had more tackles (69) than even Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (42).
