FAST FACTS Phoenix (9.4%) finished fifth.... Despite having two teams, New York was 12th (1.4%).... Seattle, recently named the "smartest city" in America by CNNMoney.com (based on U.S. Census Bureau stats), got only three votes in our poll; neither Chicago nor L.A. was among the 25 smartest cities.... The Cubs, who accounted for 16% of the Chicago vote, were an NL-worst 33--43 at home.... Seven cities did not draw a vote: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Minneapolis, Oakland and Washington, D.C.
