MCKENZIE, TRADED by the Packers on Monday, was all business for this matchup, spending 10 minutes before the kickoff working on his video punting and kicking skills in his Green Bay hotel room. Yet it was to no avail. While Bulluck, clad in a red Tshirt and baggy jeans shorts and playing in Tennessee, used alltime scoring leader Gary Anderson to boot a 52yard field goal in the first quarter, McKenzie failed to convert on two long attempts by Ryan Longwell. "I gave [ McKenzie] confidence with my 52yarder," Bulluck said, "but he's forgetting I've got the living legend." Bulluck also held his virtual self in high regard, editing himself into the game's goal line and dime packages and using himself to repeatedly blitz Brett Favre. The strategy kept the Packers off the board, and the score was 3--0 at the half.

On a Lambeau Field so cold you could see the players' breath, a defensive battle was in the making, but McKenzie chose not to control his video double. "I don't want to be myself," he said. "The computer will do a much better job." In the second half, however, neither man nor machine could stop Bulluck, who had Steve McNair throw scoring passes of 54 and 36 yards and got a rushing TD from Chris Brown. "This is a drubbing--I'm going to blow him out," Bulluck said when he was up 17--0 in the third. He was right.
