Nofi Mojidi

Mojidi, a junior at the University of Chicago, became a first-team
All-University Athletic Association athlete in two sports. As a guard for the
Maroons she led the conference in scoring (16.4 points per game). She also won
the 55- and 200-meter races at the UAA indoor track championship.
Paola Moreno
CALI, COLOMBIA > Golf
Moreno, a junior at USC, won the 14th Annual Texas A&M "Mo" Morial
Invitational, her first NCAA tournament victory. Ranked 11th in the nation,
Moreno shot an even-par 216 for the three-round event, with a hole in one on
the 16th in the second round. She has a team-low scoring average of 73.43.

Jeffery Bybee
CHILLICOTHE, ILL. > Wrestling
Jeffery, a junior at Illinois Valley Central High, broke his leg in a sectional
match but continued wrestling and won 6--4. The two-time Class A state champion
went 27--2 this season and won the regional meet at 130 pounds. His career
record with the Grey Ghosts is 107--7.

Sarah Crooks
FIFE LAKE, SASKATCHEWAN > Basketball
Crooks, a fifth-year player at Saskatchewan, won her second straight Nan Copp
award as Canada's player of the year. A member of the Canadian senior national
team, Crooks is the alltime leading rebounder (1,181) in Canadian
Interuniversity Sport and ranks third in scoring (1,999 points).

Rosenberger
MINBURN, IOWA > Powerlifting
Rosenberger, 70, the owner of a used-car dealership, set world records in the
squat (275.58 pounds), deadlift (363.76) and total lift (815.70) in the
220.25-pound weight class of the 70-and-over division at the Natural Nationals
Powerlifting meet in Oklahoma City. He has since raised his deadlift record to
374 pounds.

Paulie, 17, was named to the Drive for Diversity class, a driver and crew
development program aimed at bringing diversity to NASCAR. (He's of Syrian
descent.) The Wayne Valley High junior has won six World Karting Association
and 13 national titles.
