WHO
Alex and Addison Hoover, lacrosse players, twins and juniors at Corona del Mar
High in Newport Beach, Calif.
YOU MIGHT KNOW
THEM FROM
The Bold and the Beautiful, in which they played Steffy and Phoebe Forrester
from 2005 to '06; they're now in two Nickelodeon shows, Drake & Josh and
Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, and they are also appearing in a
Pringles commercial.
ATHLETIC SKILLS
Addison, number 22, plays attack and was the team's top scorer, with 60 goals
through 15 games this spring; Alex, number 2, who had scored 31 goals, plays
midfield and is her team's defensive stopper.
ACTING SKILL
Both can cry on command. "If I cry now, my mom doesn't believe me,"
Addison says.
SIGN THEY REALLY
LOVE LACROSSE
They abandoned their independent academic program—which gave them more
flexibility to act—and enrolled in a regular high school so they could play on
a team.
STAR SYNDROME
Each was suspended for a game this season in separate incidents for showing too
much attitude to the school staff. "I snapped a little," Alex says of
her incident. "It's not something I'm proud of."
HOW THEY FEEL
ABOUT THE OLSEN TWINS
"We're huge fans," Alex says. "Obviously we love them and look up
to them a little as role models."
WHAT'S NEXT
They both want to play lacrosse in college but where? In Southern California
they would be near Hollywood but would have to play for a lesser program; going
to the East Coast means a chance to play Division I. Wherever they end up,
they'll end up together. "We're inseparable," Alex says. "Being
away from each other for a day is nerve-racking."
