ROYALS MANAGER Buddy Bell enjoyed a heated argument with ump Chad Fairchild after the top of the seventh of Sunday's loss in Cleveland ... until God Bless America began playing on the P.A. The men stopped jawing, removed their caps and stood side by side until it was over. By then all momentum was lost; after a few amicable words, Bell returned to the dugout.
