With Permian winning four state Class 5A championships from 1980 through '91, Mojo was at its peak when the original Friday Night Lights was published in '90. Though the Panthers haven't won so much as a district title in 13 years, this fall Permian and Abilene are the last undefeated teams (7--0) in District 3. The Panthers have won by an average margin of 33.9 points, while the Eagles' margin is 16.6.
