A former Eagle reflects

"You were going to be judged [in Philadelphia]... . A good performance ... you might have someone slide you a cold one down at the bar. But on bad days? You were going to hear about it.... [One time] when I was taking my wife out to dinner ... a waiter came up and said, 'The gentleman over there would like to send you this drink.' He handed me a beer and then he gave me a napkin.
