Snipes, a sophomore guard at Guilford College, shot an 86-foot basket as time expired in overtime to give the Quakers a 91-89 win over Randolph-Macon. He scored a game- and career-high 34 points, hitting six of seven shots from three-point range.

Taryn Ignacio

RICHMOND, KY. > Diving

Ignacio, a sophomore at Kentucky, won the women's one-meter and platform competitions at the Southeastern Conference Diving Championships. She became the first Wildcats diver to win multiple conference titles in a single meet as the school swept the women's events.

Johnie Drake

DETROIT > Track and Field

Drake, a senior at Central Michigan, ran the fastest time in the country in the 60-meters (6.56) at the Meyo Invitational and was named the Mid-American Conference athlete of the week. He also ran the fastest 60-meter time during last year's indoor season.
