IF IMITATION is the sincerest form of flattery, Diego Maradona should be blushing. Against England in the 1986 World Cup, the Argentina midfielder took the ball in his own half of the pitch, slalomed through the defense, sidestepped the keeper and scored what is known as the Goal of the Century. Against Getafe on April 18, Barcelona's Lionel Messi (right) scored a virtually identical goal that matched Maradona's zig for zig and zag for zag. (For the best side-by-side comparison, search for "Maradona Messi" at dailymotion.com.) Props to the Getafe defenders for getting burned in precisely the same way that England's got smoked.
