McGuire, a senior
midfielder at Richmond, tied a tournament record by scoring six goals in a
13-11 victory over Temple that gave the Spiders their second consecutive A-10
championship. She was named the tournament's outstanding performer and leads
the team with 57 goals for the season.

Henry, a senior
at Coronado High, defeated Matt Azevedo, 28, an assistant wrestling coach at
Cal Poly, to win the 121-pound freestyle title at the U.S. national wrestling
championships. He is believed to be the first high school student to win a
national title since USA Wrestling became the national governing body in
1983.

Kirsten, a senior
righthander at Keller High, has led the 2005 state champions to a 29-2 record
and the Region 1 quarterfinals. She is 27-1, with 365 strikeouts in 181 innings
and an 0.19 ERA, and has pitched three perfect games. Also the Indians' leading
hitter, she has a .554 batting average, 25 RBIs and 41 stolen bases.
