BLISTERS ARE an occupational hazard for pitchers, but the one that sidelined Pittsburgh's Ian Snell didn't come from throwing. "I was cooking a chicken breast for a salad and burned my finger," Snell said. "I'm all right, but the salad wasn't too good." Snell returned last Saturday but was grilled by the Angels in a 10--1 loss.
